DESCRIPTION:Join us for a presentation honoring the Women of Douglas County\nEach of these women have contributed to the rich history and quality of life in our community.\nMarch 23\, 1:00 p.m.  to 3:00 p.m.\nCommunity Meet & Greet 1:00 p.m.\nPresentation begins at 2:00 p.m.\nLight refreshments will be served after the presentation. Free Admission\nThe program is inspired by the National Women’s History and the Nevada Women’s History Project. It is designed to collect the stories of Douglas County women who might otherwise be forgotten. The stories and biographies collected become part of the DCHS Van Sickle Research Center’s archives housed at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center in Gardnerville and are also filed with the Nevada Women’s History Project in Reno.\n
