DESCRIPTION:“Bed Turning”\nSaturday\, March 15\, Doors Open 10:00 a.m.\n  \nThe Carson Valley Quilt Guild will present an old fashion “Bed Turning” of antique quilts at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center.\nBed Turnings are a unique element of American Heritage allowing artisans a creative way to share the provenance and lore behind their quilts.  First held in Lincoln\, Nebraska\, in 1991 this program has become the centerstone of National Quilting Day.  National Quilting Day is observed annually on the third Saturday of March.\nBed Turnings held at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  In addition\, a demonstration of quilting techniques will run throughout the day.\n1477 US Highway 395 N\, Gardnerville\, 775-782-2555\, www.HistoricNV.org\nFREE AMISSION
